Rain in the Desert

Not everyday can be sunny and 70.  This last week we had rain for a few days. I have always liked the smell of the desert when it rains.  The area needs the water and since the temps were still in the 60s, we were able to get out of the RV and not go crazy with cabin fever.img_0548

When we were in Portland, we went to a place called Topgolf. It’s a driving range combined with a video game and restaurant.  We had a fun time there, and found out that El Paso just had a location open. On Friday, with the rain threatening, we went out to hit some balls. img_0549img_0569

Saturday the clouds cleared and we took a hike in the Organ Mountains to Dripping Springs. Normally it would be dried up, but with the previous day’s rain, we were lucky to see the water flowing. The area sits approx. 2000 feet above Las Cruces and used to be a Hotel.img_0555.jpgimg_0565img_0563img_0561img_0560

We, of course, spent a bunch of time with Charlotte.img_0536

Stay tuned.
