From High Point we drove to Virginia international Raceway (VIR) for round three of the MotoAmerica series. This track is about an hour north of Raleigh just over the Virginia state line. Not a bad drive, but there’s not a lot of places to go or eat. It does have Millie’s Pizza though. As we started setting up, everything went well and the track’s IT guy is a great help. He knows how we set up and prep’s a lot of the track’s resources ahead of time, but, like every track we go to, there’s always a new problems or issue that needs to be fixed. This time it was the speed trap loop. After I got that fixed we had a pretty good event. MotoAmerica even had a concert for the fans on Saturday night, it was country music, and we might have missed it, but I’m sure it was good. The rain threatened all weekend also, but held off right until we were loading the trucks. It didn’t last too long and we were able to finish while it was still light out. Monday we finish packing the RV and headed up into the Smokey Mountains. We now have three weeks to get to Elkhart Lake Wisconsin. Yeah we don’t know where we are going. After leaving the track, the road turned into a winding two lane road. we took a break at the top of the climb where the pullout was aptly named Lover’s Leap.
